Since their beginning, wireframes have been used to outline content placement, order components on the page and capture the users experience through a site or app. Wireframes are one of the initial pieces in the design process and should focus on functionality, behavior, and priority of content.<\/p>\n
The problem is that wireframes are often rushed and have plenty of oversights. Wireframes amount to a paint-by-numbers system in which the designer uses their preferred design tool to essentially \u2018paint’ pretty pixels over the wireframe, limiting their ability to problem solve user experiences \u2014 which is one of the core reasons they were originally created.<\/p>\n
During my talk we\u2019ll examine the role of wireframes when designing a system and how they changed when we stopped designing off of deliverables. We\u2019ll look at what to do instead of wireframes and why it works.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
