What inspired or motivated you to give this talk at WordCamp?<\/h2>\n

I often see developers using lengthy PHP workarounds when a core function exists to make their lives easier, they just don’t know where to find it. I’d like to change that!<\/p>\n

Do you have any advice or words of encouragement for those who are thinking about getting involved in the WordPress community?<\/h2>\n

Release (or adopt) a plugin — even a small one. You learn a lot when other people start using your code in ways you never imagined!<\/p>\n

If you could make one improvement to WordPress today, what would it be?<\/h2>\n

Bump the minimum PHP version to 5.6.<\/p>\n

Who do you most admire and why?<\/h2>\n

My wife — I could never do what she does with as much grace or patience.<\/p>\n

What’s your favorite quote from a book or movie?<\/h2>\n
